There were lots of Bests last night (some more deserving than others), but I have my own list of superlatives going from the 86th Annual Academy Awards.
BEST ACCESSORY: WIN BUTLER
The safety pin bow-tie that Win Butler, of Arcade Fire, wore. When photographed it shined like a golden, hipster disco ball, and I loved it.
THE BEST REPLACEMENT TO THE MILEY CYRUS FACE: JARED LETO’S ROAR
Jared Leto, the most beautiful man at the Oscars, but also, maybe the silliest! Look at that goofball!!! Such a silly little devil.
WEIRDEST POUT: ETHAN HAWKE
I don’t know what he was doing, but it kind of looks like Ethan Hawke was attempting to *prune*.
BEST JUMP FOR JOY: STEVE MCQUEEN
Not only is Steve McQueen a complete genius, he’s able to achieve impressive air when leaping!
BEST PIZZA FACE: BRAD PITT
Now please don’t mistake me, I mean PIZZA FACE quite literally, not in the high school bully kind of way. Brad Pitt is obviously perfection, and as is this slice of pizza apparently, the man could not be in a more content state of bliss.
BEST PHOTOBOMB: BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH
These celebrities, eh? Such comedians. Here Mr. Cumberbatch (if that is your real name) pulls a fast one on U2.
BEST ARMS: LUPITA NYONG’O’S PIPES

MOST DAPPER DREAMBOATS: CRISTOPH WALTZ, LEO DICAPRIO, JARED LETO, JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT, JASON SUDEIKIS
Hummena hummena, here stand some very handsome men, looking oh-so-classy-sexy-hottie in some nicely cut suits, and the man accessory of the moment: the bow-tie.
BEST DRESSED LASSIES: LUPITA NYONG’O, CATE BLANCHETT, NAOMI WATTS
Naomi Watts was probably one of the few ladies to look beautiful AND super cool at the same time (most just looked really beautiful, with little edge), wearing Calvin Klein. Lupita Nyong’o looked like the sweetest possible version of Cinderella in her gorgeous, pale blue, Prada number. And Queen Cate dazzled in her nude Giorgio Armani gown.
BEST SERIES OF MEMES: LEO
THE MAN OF THE HOUR: MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY
Ever since seeing the movie Mud, beginning to watch the series True Detective, and then seeing McConaughey’s amazing performance in Dallas Buyers Club, I’m totally smitten. A smitten kitten one might say. That Texas accent KILLS ME. The drawling ‘All right All right All right’ will never get old in my books.
