The Fall/Winter 2015 Collections seemed to come and go in a flash. In actuality, an entire month and many different cities were involved as the many beautiful offerings for next year’s colder seasons were presented to the masses. Overall, I can say that without a doubt I liked what I saw. I can easily get on board with the trends that seem to be forming for FW 2015 – the goth girl, the boho girl, the sweetly prim girl, and the minimalist fabric-swathed girl – but my favourite look of all was the eccentric girl. Fashion “week” has moved on to the land of my ancestors, the Old Country as it were, Italy! Now, my family is not from Milan, they’re from Sulmona, meaning I must distantly be related to Ovid (this explains my way with words…HA!). I’m a very proud Italian: I love me some spaghetti, am a fan of opera, and am a loyal follower of the country’s many amazing designers.

Milan Fashion Week thus far has offered many beautiful collections for Fall 2014, but I think I’ll just focus on a handful of my favourites.

Chic to a Tee

As a self-proclaimed cinephile and lover of fashion, awards season is like my Super Bowl. It combines three of my beloved passions: film, fashion, and fawning over celebrities. The red carpet offers the perfect opportunity for myself and like-minded individuals to look in on these glamorous occasions.

It’s easy to grow tired year after year, as each couch potato hour is logged viewing these broadcasts, most especially when the stars don’t shine quite as brightly as they could (yes, I have high expectations). I would take a Björk swan moment over a glittery prom number any day. Continue reading
